Which universities accept CUET scores?

CUET UG is used by almost all central universities such as DU, JNU, BHU and Jamia, plus many state, deemed and private universities, over 250 in total. Note that IITs and NITs do not admit via CUET.

What is the eligibility for CUET?

There is no age limit and no universal minimum percentage set by NTA. Students who have passed or are appearing in Class 12 can apply, but individual universities set their own minimum-mark cut-offs for each course.

How many subjects can I take in CUET?

A candidate can appear in up to 5 subjects, chosen from 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and one General Aptitude Test. Each subject carries 250 marks, so the maximum total is 1250 marks.

What is a good score in CUET?

For competitive courses at top universities like DU, BHU and JNU, aim for high percentiles (95+); roughly 1100+ out of 1250 corresponds to about 98-99 percentile. Mid-tier universities admit at lower scores. Actual cut-offs vary by course.

Can I get into DU without CUET?

No. Delhi University UG admissions are now based on CUET UG scores, not Class 12 marks. You must take CUET and meet DU's course-wise cut-offs. Verify the current process on the official DU admission portal each year.

Is there negative marking in CUET?

Yes, CUET UG applies negative marking, so wrong answers reduce your score. Read the latest NTA information bulletin for the exact marking scheme, exam duration and number of attempts, as the pattern has been revised in recent years.
